    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

my daughter has this strange mucus that has formed on her eyes. i wipe her eyes with a clean cloth but for some reason when she woke up in the middle of the night not only did she have even more mucus on her eyes, but some of it had started to dry causing her to feel like something was in her eye. her eyes are slightly red as well. i have never seen or heard of anything like this. is there anyone there who has or know of some1 that could possibly explain to me as to what is happening?

This sounds like pink eye (conjunctivitis) which is a bacterial infection. You need to take her to a doctor for antibiotic cream.
    FCL replied to Tricia1166's response:
I agree. Please also be aware that it is highly contagious!
