    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

I am the step mom to a 6 year old girl.. she felt comfortable enough with me to tell me she sticks her fingers inside of both of her "holes" and can feel around inside! I was completely shocked by this and told her not to, that it was gross, but is there a way I should confront her about it? her father is appalled and wont discuss it for its embarrassing from father to daughter... so here I am I dont know what to do! help please!

So she's masturbating ... this is a perfectly normal activity for a child of her age. She's discovering her body. What you need to do is ensure that she knows it's a private activity and that she should only do it in the privacy of her own room or the bathroom (with door shut, of course). No confrontation is necessary.
