I have a 4 1/2 ear old boy who was diagnosed with kidney reflux pretty much at birth. He has undergone yearly monitoring via sonagrams and the xray of the bladder when they inject die through the ureatha to watch any reflux go back up out of the bladder. He has been on antibiotics since birth. We are now at a point where our pediatric urologist is reccommending surgery to fix the valves. I am wondering if anyone has had this as we are unconfortable having our child go through the surgery. Currently he is at a stage 1 which is the least level to be at. However he was a 1 last january also. So we have not seen any improvement over a year. I'm wondering if we should still hold off on surgery to see if mother nature will resolve this and just keep taking the medicine???????? :eyeroll:

Hi bbzok5, At the current time this board does not have a WebMD health professional to answer community members' questions. You may want to repost your questions on our Kidney Disease support Group board. - Annie
