Hello. My name is Wendy, and I am 30 years old (was quit a shock to hit the big 3-0). I live in a nice little suburb of Phoenix, AZ with my husband, 3 kids, 3 cats, 2 birds, and 1 dog. I'm coming to the parenting board from the pregnancy 1-3 trimester boards, which I've missed very much in the two weeks since having my youngest son. My oldest is newly 9, middle is 4 (5 in May), and 16 days. I've had some baby blues off and on with my son, but it seems to be getting better. My husband works out of town and is only home on weekends. My mother does not know I've had a baby because she has alzheimers and lives with my aunt who we are hiding the pregnancy and baby from (she has less than favorable views on multiple children). Most of my family is in Texas, including aunt and mom, which is allright considering situations. I've been missing pregnancy and the early days are going so fast I've all but completely decided I want one more baby in a few years! Having the kids on my own and missing pregnancy I get a bit overwhelmed, so I can't wait to chat with other parents and "belong" on another board!

Hi, my name is Cristy, I am a mother of four, 8yr, 3yr, 2yr, and 9 mos. I am currently potty training the two and three year old one boy, one girl, my youngest is starting to crawl, and teething. Surprisingly my oldest is my most difficult, he is on medication for ADHD, but it doesnt seem to help with anything but his school work. Once he gets home he's back to normal, into, on everything, not minding, listening, etc. My husband isnt much help, because he works nights and sleeps days. I feel very alone and dont know what else to do.

Hi my name is sarah. Im twenty seven years old and i have a wonderful husband and ten month old daughter. Im pretty new to asking anyone for help when it comes to parenting but i really would rather talk to other moms and experts to get many different views and pick what i think is right for my daughter. I have many woman with children in my family but honestly and not trying to be hateful, their children are beyond spoiled brats so i dont really care for all the advise they give. My husband is in the oilfield and i was teaching dance and cheer before i had my daughter. I dont have to work so i put all my effort into my daughter. She has never been to a sitter, nanas house, i mean no where with out me or my husband. Please help answer the so many questions i have so my daughter will turn into a wonderful person. I know it takes a village to raise a child, i am just really hoping this is the right village. LOL

My name is Peri and I'm a single mom of 2 children, 8 and 5. My 8 year old had bacterial meningitis at 5 weeks of age. Then diagnosed w/ Hydracephalus and Syringomyelia at 4 and had emergency surgery to place a shunt. About a month ago we had more emergency surgery b/c the shunt had a blockage (our first revision~I hear we are incredibly fortunate) My 5 year old is a little spit fire and keeps me on my toes daily.
As for me, I teach a children's dance program through a community center and love every minute of it. We are going on our tenth year this year, and the children bring so much joy to my life!
