Hi, my name is Jackie. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is in Traffic Engineering. I read things on line about stay home MOMS. And here is what I say to them, "My daughter was tested for being gifted. She spent the last 3 hours of the day in Advance Talent class which started to prepare her moving ahead a grade mock FCAT test, science and computer sessions. My son passed his 1st FCAT test with 4's. However he is the reason I joined the community. His behavior has kept him from being placed in the Advance Talent class at their school and his refusal to got to the bathroom at night is driving my crazy.

Hi I am Katrina a 29 year old mother of a 2 year old girl and married with two step sons ages 20 and 15. Our house can seem very tense at times with the stress and I'm hoping for some tips and great discussions here.

My husband and I both work full time and seem to have different parenting approaches that maybe a third party can give us insite as to what to try. Our older children do not live with us but our 2 year old gives us enough to work on.

I am already greatful for stumbling upon this site, thank you and hello!

Hi my name is Ana. I am a new mom, my son is now 5 weeks. And he is now crying all the time, something new to me. I feel like such a bad mom because even though I comfort him and make every effort to make him better, inside I get so stressed out and feel like running away (but I don't) that I start crying. I don't get much sleep since I am breastfeeding every 2 hours and I think that is the reason I feel this way plus the headaches. But I think I need help. I don't know what to do and I think I might go crazy if I don't do something about it. Any ideas on what I could do?

Is he gassy? My first dd would be fussy after I ate certain foods (broccholi, peanuts) and some babies also get fussy if you drink milk. I would try some gas drops if you haven't already and see if that helps...also since a checkup will be coming up soon if nothing changes make sure you talk to your pedi to see if there could be other issues. I know it may be hard but try not to stress to much because they do pick up on it. If someone can hold him if you start to feel overwhelmed, go clear your head for a minute or two (cry if you have to) then come back. I had to do that a few times or just being able to talk to someone helped me calm down and it helped us both.

Does he cry alot when you have him lying down but is okay if sitting up? any fever? if so may want to see if there is an ear infection.

Don't worry as you go along it will get easier to know what is happening especially when they are older. If they have an ear infection they pull and hold their ear while fussing but sometimes they also will touch their ear while getting teeth but will put things in their mouth (fingers, toys) to chew on.

Hi. My name is Mary. I have 7 month old twins, born via IVF. My husband and I also have two French Bulldog mixes and a cat.

My husband is 37 and I'll turn 37 in March. Having our children when we were 36 was a big adjustment. We are learning as we go. Erin is 15 lbs and James is 18 lbs now. They are on the small side for their age.

My husband works in an industrial plant that cleans coal filters and I'm a pharmacy technician. I look forward to using this forum to ask questions and learn more about raising my kids.

Hello everyone. I'm Rodney Davis, a school social-worker in the Dutch Caribbean islands with a special interest in working with parents of elementary school children experiencing discipline and motivational problems. I've also fathered 4 children, and the last one, my only daughter, is just about to set off for college... still wondering what the heck its going to be like without any kids around and I can't be the glorified chauffeur any more. Yikes!
