Time with son

I am a non custodial parent who wants to spend more time with my son. My son's mom is reluctant to allow me to do so. She says her pediatrician has said the current visitation arrangement will allow for sufficient parent/child bonding to occur.

Question:

What would the minimum amount of time that would be considered adequate? (number of visits and hours per week) for a healthy father son relationship to develop?

I realize this is a highly subjective question and I have not entered court proceeding to obtain custody. Both parents are employed, relatively amicable and have no history of domestic violence or dependency issues. Thanks for your opinion.

See a lawyer about this. Where did the original visitation arrangement come from? What are the terms? Why doesn't she want to let you see him more?
