As of Thursday, Sept 1st, the State of Missouri says we are licensed Foster parents!

Unfortunatly we had to turn down the first call. Our house isn't very big, so we were licensing for 2 children under the age of 5. The social worker was trying to find a home for a sibling group of 3. a 5 year old girl exibiting sexual abuse symtoms (acting out etc), her 22 month old sister with severe developental delays (not walking yet) and their 3 month old brother ("normal" so far)

We just dont have the room for all 3. We're trying to save $ up to be able to move to a larger house so we CAN take more kids at a time.

Thanks guys. 11 years of dealing with infertility gets ya ready

I'm also reading "Love and Logic: dicipline from birth to 6 years old" and "practicing" on my cats They're pretty unresponsive to choices or concenquences of time outs... but the "Uh-OH!" instead of NO! seems to be getting through to them.
