    So sad to hear this!

When I was a kid, Where the Wild Things Are was one of my FAVORITE books. I was bossy, like Max, and I loved imagining that I could boss a bunch of monsters around.

It was also one of the first books I read to my own kids. And, they loved it, too.

Then, Little Bear was turned into a Nick Jr. cartoon, and my son was crazy about it.

RIP Mr. Sendak. You made us all have a chance to roar our terrible roars and gnash our terrible teeth. You will be dearly missed.
