Parents' fights produce stress in children
IvanS posted:
According to this news American scientists from the University of Oregon say that the children who hear their parents arguing are more sensitive to stress. What do you think?
lenono97 responded:
My response...duh! However, the level of arguing is the key. Parents who communicate well and can work thourgh disagreements can be a good example for children. Children learn from their parents (or who ever their role models/guardians are) and need to learn how to work through disagreements as well. However, parents who scream and yell at each other (or worse) will very negativly affect children. The child will grow up thinking that is how you interact with your spouse or other people. Growing up in a house with a lot of arguing would very stressfull. Especially if the child is afraid of the arguing being turned towards them.
