The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Spotting or light bleeding in early pregnancy is common and usually no cause for concern. It becomes a concern if it becomes heavy or is accompanied by severe cramping.

    Hi spriha2015,

Bleeding during the 1st trimester is fairly common (here are some possible causes of bleeding ) and is usually no cause for concern, but it can be a sign of something serious. Because of this, it is a good idea for your wife to make an appointment with her doctor to make sure that everything is okay and that she and the baby are healthy. Please let us know how you are doing!

    Best wishes,
    Atti
