I just got a new food dehydrator and finished my first batch of dried apples this morning. My 20 month old son and I already devoured the whole batch, so I will be making more tonight!

I can't wait to make dried fruit leather and other dried fruit snacks. I will also be drying veggies from my garden to use for cooking this winter.

Yum! I used to have a dehydrator. I miss it. I stopped using it when I lived in Florida because believe it or not, it is hard to get good produce there. Since I hadn't used it in years, it didn't make the cut when we moved--and now we have fresh produce in the summer that rocks but no dehydrator. I should look for one second hand somewhere. (right after I can justify a place to store it)
