I recently had to change my 5 month old formula from Similac (fussiness & gas) to good start genlte plus. He had a box & 1/2 of the contaminated similac, which did cause him diarrhea and stomach pain, after gradually swithching him to the goodstart I noticed he started to get white stuff in his poop. It kind of looks like when powder gets wet.. I hadnt been usin powdwer or ointment on him. It started about 3 days ago I thought it may be from his bowels cleaning out from the contaminated milk, I asked a dr about it and they didnt say anything about it. Since this started he hes gotten a rash from yeast around his genitals. Ive never delt with yeast infections with my older son or myself so I dont know if it could be related. My baby has not had any sort of rash til now or problems with his poop. He has also started refusing to eat his food, he seems interested in what everyone else is eating so Im not sure if thats part of whats goin on. Each BM is greenish brown with an off white wet powder looking substance throughout. What could it be? His diet is oatmeal cereal n stage 1 veggies and fruit 2 meals a day and several bottles of formula throughout the day and night. I was wondering if maybe the good start isnt digesting well for him, or if since he was on lactose sensitive milk before if one of those things could be causing the problem, a Dr recommended switching him to good start protect plus. which Im currently doing.

I am not sure why his bowl movements would have anything white. Please take him to see your PCP. Keep us updated.
