I am in need of some serious advice. I have a sone who was born at 30wks and was doing fine other than some breathing/asthma issues and recurrent ear infections. However he is 9mnths corrected and 6 1/2mnths adjusted and he still doesnt sit, roll, crawl. He does babble and was talking but stopped all the sudden. I was told by the early intervention program who evaluated him that he is at a 3mo level with his motor skills and that he most likely has cerebral palsy. I am looking to ask parents where their children are with developement. Please anything would be great. Thanks for looking.

Welcome cowgirlup96!

First of all, congratulations on your son and I will pray that things are okay! I'm a little confused on his age, though. He is 9 months old without taking his prematurity into consideration? I also am wondering exactly what the motor skills and other concerns are that he is lacking according to the early intervention program to diagnose him with cerebral palsy. What does his pediatrician say?

Here is a WebMD Baby Milestone Slideshow that might help you to compare some of his activity by time line. I know that you are panicked, but try to stay calm. This may not be the case and if it is, there are many treatments, information and therapy. I look forward to hearing from you and my thoughts are with you! ((((((hugs)))))) Please take care and keep us posted.
Best Wishes! Amelia

thanks for replying. He was born nine months ago so he is considered only 6mnths with his due date. But when they came to evaluate him they said his motor skills are of a 3mnth old. They say he has low muscle tone and spinal weakness and that he has almost no movement to his left side when the tipped him and did all those tests. But I am confused because he uses both hands and tends to put more weight on his left side. I am hoping they are wrong. I did make a follow up with a neurologist that saw him in the hossy in october. She was concerned when she saw him then. She said he had no muscle tone. I am very worried about this. I will love him no matter what but he is such a happy baby he deserves more in life. They want to do pt and ot every week plus have him see more specialist...sigh.....we already go to the drs 3 or 4 times a week.

Hi cowgirlup96!

I'm the new board moderator here and wanted to check in.

Are you in a state that offers low-cost or free early intervention services? I would take advantage of any therapies suggested by your doctors and request additional services that could help as well.

Looking forward to an update -
