    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

13yr old, heavy mensturation, Duphaston?? is it right?
    anuramesh posted:
My daughter had her regular cycle from 18/11/13 to 21/11/13. Last Wednesday she started having discharge again. Since Thursday evening it became really heavy. Her bed and clothes were soiled in the morning. Saturday I took her to OB/GYN; who along with Iron tablets also prescribed Duphaston 3times a day for 15days and twice a day for 15 more days. Also Dycinone (prevents blood clot) and Mafepain (for pain, cramps). Except for complete blood examination (result awaited)no other tests were done.

Is it safe for her to take all these meds? She started menstruating only in September this month was her third cycle. Please help.

Why would you think that random people on a website would know better than a fully qualified doctor? If you do not trust your OB/GYN then you need to change and find one you do trust...

In the beginning girls do get irregular and heavy menstruation. It gets normal once it starts regularly.
