What age would you allow teen to go to a concert with just friends
reneegavin2 posted:
Hello everyone,

I am having trouble with this one. My 16 year old daughter wants to go see a Paramore/Fall Out Boy concert this summer with 2 of her friends. If it were at a smaller indoor arena, I probably wouldn't think twice, but this is at a larger outdoor arena. They would be seated out in the lawn. I trust them, it's just the drunken adults I worry about. I know I didn't go to concerts in this type of atmosphere until I was quite a bit older. Any opinions on this one? When did you let your kids go?
momuv4girls responded:
If you trust and like her friends and your daughter has given you no reason to not trust her, then I would let her go - I would just make sure to drive them there, and pick up.

mariajohnson responded:
I agree with Kathleen. If you trust your daughter and her friends let them go. You can drop them to the concert and just warn them to be careful and to stay away from drunken adults.
