Hi, I'm new here and have 2 boys (11 and 9). I was wondering if any of your tweens have an itchy scalp. My oldest tends to itch his scalp on and off throughout the day. Doesn't matter what he is doing, like running, sitting, sweating, inside or out, his head seems to get itchy every once in a while. I don't see any flaking or redness. He does have eczema, so thinking he might have it on his scalp. The derm. looked for a second and said that is what it is but I just don't see any of the typical signs of eczema on the scalp. His hair is pretty short, about 3/8 inches long all around and we know it is not lice. Just not sure what else could be causing this. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chantel

    Hi Chantel and Welcome,

This does sound frustrating for your son. Has he recently switched shampoos?

I wanted to suggest checking out our Skin Problems and Treatment Community . We have a few great experts that may be able to help.
