My 10 yr old daughter recently started her cycle and for the past two months have become physically violent with other children. Is this a disorder that requires medical attention?

Hi and Welcome babyboot,

It is difficult to guess what is going on and if her behavior is related to her cycle. Does the violent behavior come and go throughout the month? Can you track her moods?

Please talk with her pediatrician to figure out if hormonal or if something else is going on. Either way you both need to know what's triggering this behavior.

In the meantime, our Teen Girls' Health Center may be helpful to sit down with her and go through some of the articles and slideshows.

Keep us posted on what you find out,
Elizabeth
