My 16 year old son is interested in gay sex

My 16 year old just told me he feels he may be bisexual because he is attracted to both males and females. My reaction to this was "Ok...you are who you are. I love you unconditionally now just like when you were born". We had the safe sex talk and he says he has not experienced yet, but he is interested in doing so. He says he wants to experiment with himself first before actually allowing this with someone else. He asked me how to do this safely and I have no real answer for him. Im not really into sharing mine and my husband's sex methods with my child. Any suggestions? (Please no Bible lessons on how wrong this is)!!

Has your son had this frank of a conversation with his Dad yet? Maybe his father could shed some insight on sexual feelings and curiosity from a Male's perspective?

I know this age is tricky and there are a lot of sexual ideas, fantasy's and curiosity regardless if your son is gay or not.

I would monitor his computer though, there are a lot of inappropriate sites and material out there that fuels (not in a good way) a young person's ideas and thoughts.
- Just an idea, maybe you do this already !

Take care,

knew that i was gay at 10. Not from porn or anything just being born that way. You can monitor your sons internet but theres always friends, internet on the cell phone. It honestly doesnt "fuel" much. Ideas yes, but if he thinks hes bisexual he probably already has those ideas and thoughts. Go to the library and get him some books on it. Get him in a support group so he can meet friends. So he wont feel alone and can talk to others like him.
