Alternative Vaccine Schedule

I hear your concerns about so many vaccines all at once for a little baby--it scares me too. For my daughter, I skipped the Hepatitis shot at birth (why the need?--she wasn't in any imminent danger of contracting) and limited vaccines to 2 at a time until she caught up. I attached a great resource for you-- Dr. Sear's alternative vaccine schedule compared to the CDC schedule. One thing doctors typically don't do is a blood titer for the repeated vaccines (MMR, DTAP) as the baby may already have immunity and not even need the vaccine! Definitely ask for that...the MMR is an example of a vaccine that provides immunity in 95% of the population with the initial shot thereby not requiring additional shots. Best of luck, Laura
