How can this board best serve its members?

I have noticed that posts are few and far between on this board, and as its administrator I want to see if anyone has suggestions on how to pick it up. I think we are all excited to have this board for the community and support, but perhaps there just aren't that many racially related topics to discuss. I am fine with people just posting occasionally, but I fear this will cause people to stop checking the board and when there are posts there will only be a few responses.

I guess what I want to know from everyone is:

Do you wish this board was more active or are you fine with it the way it is?

If you want more activity, do you have any suggestions?

Would you welcome opening up the board to other topics not necessarily related to race (ie. every day things/parenting topics members are dealing with)?

Thanks for the feedback!

I do wish this board was more active. I guess I'm part of the problem though as I only check it once or twice a month b/c I know not much is going on. I think opening it up to other parenting topics would be fine too and might inspire more postings and responses. I'm also a member of couples coping and we while we talk about couples issues over there, we're all over the place with our other discussions.

I know I am late on this but just had a baby in January and didnt' know this board was here. I would love to hear others challenges on raising a biracial child. I am just getting started with this and we are already starting to think about #2 so I am interested in how this is working for everyone.

I am white and my fiancee is black as well. I have 3 kids all mixed (black&white). 2 girls and 1 boy.

Its challenging to say the least ,esp school-aged kids t hat are mixed. My kids used to be so confused by people telling they were this and that....they would say they were "mixed up in colors"....BTW my girls are now 9&10yrs old and my son is not even 3yrs old yet....My girls look very exotic and my son is more white than anything else, looks just like me....LOL

Does your child look more white or black?/? Both..? boy or girl...

Im 27yrs old......

Umm I cant think of anything else, this board doesnt get much traffic, which is why this thread is soo old...LOL...but I would frequent if people come here.

I am 36, I have a little girl... right now she just looks a little darker than me but she looked totally white when she was born, people thought we posted pictures of the wrong baby. She has dark hair but we think she is going to have green eyes. Anyway it goes she is going to be a knockout, already have people that are asking if we are going to enter beautiful baby contests. But I guess that is every Mom, they think their baby is the most beautiful.

Awe beautiful..!

Yes my girls are gorgeous also.....I have a mix of both with my girls, my oldest has dark hair, dark brown eyes and darker skin than the other two, my second daughter is olive skinned, curly brownish/blonde hair and green eyes, and my son is white..LOL..but tans really good.. has dirty-blondeish(sp?) hair and blue eyes...my mom would joke and say "Glad you arent having anymore the next baby would be invisible"...LOL..LOL...Plus their daddy is "6'4" so they are going to be model height...LOL...my oldest is 5'2 already and she's 10yr..LOL.

My son is getting darker as he gets older, so did my middle daughter..but his eyes have stayed blue.
