Hello all , Im also a mother to 3 (mixed) bi-racial babies...I have 2 girls 8,9 yrs old and a son who is almost 2yrs old.....

Has anyone with more than one bi-racial child noticed that as they had more children the lighter they got?..lol...it sounds so silly but seriously ..my oldest daughter is dark skinned.and has very dark brown/black hair..and big brown eyes..so pretty..(looks very spanish)..my middle daughter is a little lighter , and even has brown/reddish hair..and green eyes..she looks exotic...my son is sooo white you'd never guess he was a mixed baby has blonde/reddish hair and bright BLUE eyes..looks just like me..(im white, babydaddy is black)...it just seems the more kids I had the lighter they got with skin , hair and eye color..

Im not with my ex-husband anymore and havent been for about 3yrs.(briefly re0unitd in sept 07, thats where my son came from..:O)..)..I do have a SO who has stepped up (also black, with 3mixed babies)and became the father me kids needed...I thank GOD everyday for him...

Hi I've seen you on couples also Wanda's here also! I agree it's nice to be able to connect with other moms of bi- racial kids. I haven't had mine yet but I'm excited for them to get here. I'm not really sure how my babies will come out I haven't really thought much about it. But their father is white and I'm half Italian and half black. I look pretty much like you're oldest daughter with the dark complexion but my eyes are green.

I'm excited also girl I had a little freakout incident the other day after I watched the birthing video from my doctor. LOL. It was sorta funny because all I could say was sex is bad sex is very bad!LOL. I'm wondering how big I will get my start weight was 120 and now I weigh 127 and I'm due in September so I'm curious on how big I will get it doesn't really matter I've just been trying to gain weight for years and now I have some help.

Wow, I can't imagine my children getting any lighter. DD is 7 months and she is already very light skinned. DH made a joke when I had her that if she didn't darken up in about 15 minutes he was leaving, but he was just joking. He is pretty dark so it will be interesting to see in September what skin tone this baby has.

Oh wow. Thanks for filling in the gaps C. I wasn't trying to railroad you or make you out to be a lie or anything. I just truly didn't understand some things and being the cynic that I am, I always have a million questions.

It sounds like even though you and the ex didn't make it, that relationship was supposed to happen for a reason and it sounds like it happened so you could rescue Darrius from an ugly situation. God bless you.

I only have one LO so I can't comment on any trends but, I have noticed that her skin tone has gotten darker since she was born. I have heard this is pretty common. For those with older children, when did your babies skin tone stop changing. I also wonder about DD's hair, right now it has loose curls, but I wouldn't be surprised it that changed too. I would be interested to know what others have experienced with their LO's.

Congrats to the expecting Mommies on this board! Kelseyshayne: I was 120 before getting pregnant and I maxed out at 157! After DD was born though since I BF I lost it all within a few weeks and now I am down to 115. Of course it doesn't help that I can't eat any milk or soy products because of DD's allergies!

You have a beautiful daughter. Wanda your son is precious also. She may not get too much darker and then again she might but it doesn't matter because she's going to be a heartbreaker.

Thank you on the congrats. I'm super excited. You know I would love it if I get up to 157lbs I've been trying to gain weight for years.

Awww... thank you. She means the world to us. With twins you may just make it to 157! If you decide to BF, don't be surprised if you loose it all again really fast! When are you due?
