Dr Stacy
Is your research on Parkinson's limitied to movement or are involved with all research? The reason I ask is I would like to know what progress has been made in other areas of the disease, such as memory.

Hi, worn1
I have research interests mainly in PD, but work in applied research, developing new treatments in PD, dystonia, tremor and Huntington's disease.
worn1 replied to Mark A Stacy, MD's response:
Dr Stacy do you think acupuncture along with a good exercise program could replace the medications?

worn1 replied to worn1's response:
Dr Stacy as usual I am having problems posting the articles
The first article from Parkinson Resource deals with using acupuncture to protect the brain, swallowing and digestive disorders. Treating Parksinson's with Acupuncture. 12 May 12

The second article from Arizona Daily Star concerns a gym built for those with Parkinson's. Gym-dandy help for Parkinson's 15 april 12. They have routines that include doing a an obsticle (SP) course while answering questions.
Double checked the info hope it works this time.
