I know it sounds stupid, but I would like to really know if Parkinson's Disease is contagious? I care for and 80 yr. ole man and I have noticed he drools quite a bit. Recently, I have noticed that I have drooled more than I have ever noticed before and am wondering if drooling is some sort of precursor to the act sickness? I have, really to my known knowledge ever had any problem or any drooling, except for perhaps when I was sleeping... But, never awake and standing at the john or the sink, even sitting at the table? Now admittedly, I have loss most of my bottom teeth and this could aid in what is happening with the drooling, I would just like to know for sure that it isn't contagious for a fact--plain & simple?

Your cannot catch Parkinsons Disease. They think it might be inherited or that environment plays a part in whether a person gets parkinsons. But it is definitely not contagious.
