Muscle Wasting and Parkinsons?
comtngrl posted:
we are fairly new to this diagnosis, however my boyfriend has symmetrical muscle wasting to legs and his arms. His arms almost look "popeye" like. He is fairly young in his 50's. His muscle conductive studies are normal. Fairly active by that I mean on the golf course daily. Does this sound familiar to Parkinsons?
Mark A Stacy, MD responded:
Dear comtngrl
I do not think that he has PD, but it is good that his EMG is normal. I would suggest asking his neurologist about other possibilities.
