red bump on dogs stomach

Hi,
Over the weekend my husband and I discovered that my 2-year-old dog Cooper (a schnauzer/cocker spaniel mix) has a red bump, the size and consistency of a pea, on his stomach. I called the vet this morning, but they can't get me in until tomorrow. I'm basically a nervous wreck. I had a 3-year-old dog that died of lymphoma, so now I immediately think cancer. The thing is, he doesn't bother with it, it doesn't seem to hurt him when I touch or press on it, he has his normal appetite and is as active as he usually is. If I didn't see the bump, I wouldn't know anything was different about him. Any idea of what this could be? I'm attaching a picture of it. Please help, I'm a nervous wreck!

Hey! It's been a long time since you posted this, but my dog has something very similar. Did you ever find out what it was??
