Possible stroke in my senior dog?

maxsmom112 posted:
Two nights ago my dog fell and his head was moving slightly back and forth, while his eyes were darting side to side. We stayed with him and very shortly after that he popped up and was back to his old self. I questioned whether it was a small stroke or some sort of minor seizure, although it did not look like the seizures my other dog had for years. He was fine last night but this morning was lying in his usual spot, had evacuated his bowels there and was very lethargic, not wanting to get up to go outside, eat or any of the normal morning routine. Since he is able to get up on his own, is drinking water and ate a tiny bit. He is going to see the vet this afternoon. Has anyone else had an experience like this with their dog? Was it a stroke? What is the outlook for recovery?
