    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Cat Died: Cancer

My youngest cat, who would have been 14, April 13, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012, of a cancerous tumor that was pushing tissue out of her nose. She had gone from 12.5 pounds to 6.8 pounds, and she could not eat because she could not smell.

I hope she is out of her misery now. Do you think she is?

I need to think so. I have felt that there is a peace and freedom after life and I believe it true for animals also. So sorry for your loss - I know it hurts.

Yes, she's out of her misery. There is no more pain now, there can't be. Personally I do believe that cats have souls, mostly because I have felt various departed friends around me from time to time. I grieve with you and I hope the times you had together were happy times.
