Hello, I have a 4 year old, Australian Shepherd Mix, Male (Neutered) dog. He went to the vet on 4/17/12 for his annual vaccine (DHLPP), which he hasn't had for 2 years. That same day I gave him a Trifexis, which he never had before, however he did have Comfortis in the past. 2 days later he had a seizure that lasted 3 min and took 10 min to recover. He has never in his life had a seizure. He was a perfectly healthy dog. Since than he has had 5 more seizures since, with his latest one being on 5/13/12. In the past week he seems to be getting worse. He hardly eats and drinks water. He just lays around all day. We have done MANY test including bloodwork, radiographs, and urinalysis's. All of which are normal by the way. We started him on fluids after his last seizure. So far he has had a total of 4 liters of fluids, but his body doesn't seem to be processing and holding the water. Kidney failure?? Something we thought of considering the fluids just went right through him. Constantly urinating everywhere. But all bloodwork is normal. Nothing telling us its kidney failure.

We don't know what is wrong with him, but ever since his visit to the vet he has been getting worse, and new things start to pop up. Our vet is puzzled as well. So if anyone has any ideas please let me know. We are very worried we might lose him, and he is a very important member of our family.

Thank you
-J
