I have a chihuahua/pom mix female 4 years old. She is currently pregnant and due within the next 2 weeks. She has had 1 prior pregnancy 2 years ago and that is my current concern. Her milk did not come in until 2 weeks after the puppies were born. Out of a litter of 5 only 2 survived. I started bottle feeding at 5 days old and it was almost too late for all the babies. My girl finally got her milk in and took over feeding the kids but as I said it was too late for 3 of them. My concern is that this may happen again. Is there anything I can do to promote her milk comming in? Can't see my vet, he retired and his replacement was so rough with my girl she is terrified to see him. I'm also in the process of moving out of state and I'm pulling my hair out. The pregnancy has gone well, she's healthy, eating fine, not gaining excessive weight, no vomiting or digestive problems, she's active, happy still I'm really worried. She went into a major depression when she lost the 3 in the last litter and spent months looking for those babies. Really need suggestions! Thank you. JJ
