older dogs in high altitude

Our pom/chihuahua is a very healthy....except for CPD....16 yrs old.
He is on .625 mg of Vetmedin 2x a day; Lasix 6.25 mg per day; and Hydrocodone/Homatrop 1/2 tab as needed (in the evening he hacks and keeps us awake...pretty much every night)
We had him on SW Air for a 3 1/2 hr flight 2 weeks ago...no problem.
Now we want to take him on a trip from the 2,500 foot altitude here, to 5,000 feet in Denver, then, 7,000 feet in Estes for 3 and 4 days respectively. Any reason not to take him to these altitudes?
Thanks, Bill
