I just found some brownish grey little worms in my cats litter box. I tried looking online for hours to find out what kind of worm they are but, I couldn't figure it out. I am so very worried because I don't know how long he has had worms and he is a indoor cat but, he has been sleeping more lately it seems and he is more moody. Please help me!
I took a picture of the worms so maybe I can show the picture!
PLEASE HELP RIGHT AWAY THIS IS URGENT! I AM SCARED FOR MY CAT! PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF WORM THIS IS!

Gross! There are only two kinds of worms you'll commonly see in your cat's litterbox. One is tapeworms, which look like tiny grains of rice if alive or tiny sesame seeds if dried. The other is roundworms, which vary from 1-6 inches in length and are smooth. Both of these are easy to treat. I can't tell from the picture, but if what you saw doesn't sound like either of these two, it's more likely something that didn't come from your cat. Regardless, it's easy to have your cat tested to see if he really has worms.

Thanks for the reply! I have found out that they are moth larva and not worms and that makes sense to me since I have seen so many moths every day for the last couple of months. Thankfully my cat doesn't have worms! I do know what the tape worms look like and I am very familiar with those and I have researched round worms and hook worms and they don't match what I found and I showed a picture on another website and was told they look like moth larva so I looked online and I compared the picture I took with pictures of worms and moth larva and my picture matches the moth larva pics. Anyway so relieved that my cat doesn't have worms because I have checked lately and have not seen any worms in the box or his waste! I will check regularly!
