Remember Your Beloved Pet
Possible muscle cramps

I have a 14 year old Pomeranian, and in the last three days he has had bouts of what looks like muscle cramps. He freezes up tries to get up and walk and screams, almost like when we get a charlie horse. Until this afternoon it's been at night when we are going to bed. Today it was mid afternoon as he napped on the couch. I went over and slowly and softly started rubbing his side and he relaxed and was ok. What could be causing his, it's never happened before and has me very concerned.
