My yellow lab is about 11 years old and has bad hips. She hurt her leg yesterday and is limping pretty bad, but we can't take her to the vets until tomorrow. I want to know if it is safe to give her a small dose of xanax or a muscle relaxer to calm her dog so she is not constantly trying to get up and down because she is having a hard time walking. I just want to calm her down so she does not hurt herself anymore..please help!!
