Cat pregnant with 2 litters?
SIP13 posted:
My 3 yr old short-hair domestic female was pregnant until yesterday morning. She gave birth to a healthy little kitten. But she only had the one. This morning she came up on me wanting her belly rubbed. It seems like there is still more kittens in her. And she doesn't seem to be in any pain nor labor. I have read they can have 2 litters at once but not sure to believe that. And the vet wants to do a c-section but what if it is true that she did have 2 litters in her, will the second survive if the c-section is done to early?

The jury is still out on this one. Superfetation is when a female cat has simultaneous litters by two different males. Whether it can happen or not, if your cat has more undelivered kittens, she needs medical attention. Sometimes it's possible to induce labor, but a Cesarean section surgery is more likely needed. Even if she has two litters, the kittens should survive the surgery if they're still healthy. But the longer the time between delivering her one kitten and the surgery, the more likely the kittens won't survive so time is of the essence.
