What happens if thyroid medication is stopped? My dog was taking medication for about 6 years. We moved to another state and the new vet stopped the med. Within a year she started loosing muscle mass and falling down a lot. She also started gobbling her food( not typical) and acting hungry at meal time. She pooped at least 4-5 times a day and it didn't look like very digested food. What's the deal here?
