What would cause a dog to drink water excessively and urinate a lot every hour? Also has bad red rash/ sores on his lower abdomen?

The only thing that I can think of, other than kidney problems, is diabetes. That can cause problems with healing and excessive urination. And it needs a vet visit, but you will need one for diagnosis anyway. Good luck with your dog!
