AMERICAN VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
Sandy Willis, DVM, DACVIM responded:
I have always thought that licking at paws may be a sign of a food allergy. Licking at the air could mean that she is nauseous. Licking at her sides could be back pain. If you feel she is showing you very subtle signs, have your veterinarian give her a physical exam and make sure she is not trying to tell us something. Dr. Sandy
