dogs eat their poop by nature. before dogs were "pets" they were wild and ran in packs. they ate their poop everyday for two reasons:

1 - to keep other packs of dogs from smelling their "camp" and keep them away

2 - to clean up their living area.

weird, but this is an instinct, ancient ritual. not to worry. it won't hurt them. i just yell a "grunt" to my dogs when they do it and they stop. it's natural. not to worry. go to goodle and look it up. interesting what dogs in today's world STILL have as instinct, huh? good luck.............
