6 Months with No Period
LA27YearOld posted:
I was diagnosed with PCOS back in November. The doctor insisted I start taking birth control so my testosterone levels would go down. I felt horrible within days of taking it and had to stop. Unfortunately, right after I lost my health insurance. Last year I only had a period 3 times. This year just the one time after I stopped the birth control. I've researched and read about changing my diet and exercising. Is there anything else any of you out there recommend besides going back on birth control, which my body just didn't take? Thanks!

Well, my doctor has me on Metformin to bring down testosterone levels, and after 6 months still not pregnant, But testosterone IS GOING DOWN dramatically. The doctor said most the time, you gotta add clomid to the mix. Gonna try it out for a few more months. I was actually thinkin of takin birthcontrol for one month n then TTC the next. Ill do just about anything at this point.
