Pregnancy: After 35 Community

Aww Genat38, Please dont worry I am 41 and 25 weeks pregnant with my 6th child:) I have had two miscarriages since this past November, it was so devastating:( Long story short got on progesterone, and a single round of clomid and here i am!! I have read researched and pounded the internet getting info, and I have seen way lower chances, such as like 1 in 6 for downs and find out their child is perfectly healthy!!!! I also have a 2 year old, and I was pregnant at 38, never have had the blood testing done because I know as you pass age 30 those tests automatically throw you into high risk category just by age alone, my ob is so against them:) Now, the Harmony test! Yay! I would never get amnio after my miscarriages, I would be so terrified, but I also got the Harmony test done, this past week, I think my sample went into them on the 21st, and I am also waiting on my results, omg. it seems sooooo longgg, I pray that all goes well for you and your baby, keep me posted! I will you also, please please try to not worry so much, I try, and I know that it is practically impossible, but you have a way higher percentage chance of your baby being absolutely perfectly healthy than not:) My 20 wk us done at 18 1/2 weeks was perfectly normal in every way they could see:)

Hello again! I just wanted to let you know that my test results came in a phone call late yesterday evening, I was less than 1 in 10, 000, which denotes negative for all three trisomies!!! I just want to give you hope, that at 38 you have very very high chances at this point of all being good and ok!! I will pray for you as I prayed myself:) Nothing was ever as devastating to me as going in to my first usound last october to see a 6 wk 6 day fetus just lying in my uterus with no heartbeat:( Then that followed with a chemical pregnancy, but with faith and hope and dedication and lots of working with my awesome doctor, here I am pregnant and everything is just going great:) My best advice is to tryyyyy to not worry so much, I did, you probably will too, but also do your research, and when your Harmony test comes back, I pray all goes well for you...I usually just lurk and dont post on any boards, but I just wanted to give you hope with my story...Something that helps me, idk if you would want to, but I purchased a sonoline b heart doppler to hear my baby and boy did I get my 50 bucks worth on that item, I used it so much my husband thought I was nuts, I dont use it as much now, but still every couple days I like to hear my little princess 's heart thumping:) It helped me, just to know her hb was there daily for a long time, I will still worry with this pregnancy till she is safe in my arms, but please keep your faith, and read up on some forums many many women get that high risk low numbers with that blood test that is given early on, if you are older, and many many babies were perfectly good fine and normal in all aspects:) Hope I have helped you some,Genat38!!!
