Beta Numbers - What do they mean?
lindsycd posted:
Hi Friends:

I graduated from the Infertility Treatment Community Board just last week. I had my first blood test at 15 DPO and it was 186. My second was today at 18 DPO and it was 616. Could this mean multiples?

Thank you!
gjbsgirl5705 responded:
it could... or it could just be one strong healthy baby I've always had high beta numbers with only one baby. either way, your beta's look great!

lindsycd replied to gjbsgirl5705's response:
Thank you for responding so quickly! That's all I really need to know is whether the numbers are good.
beckyatmoms responded:
My first beta was 285 and I think my second was 897 and I'm having twins. I have seen ladies with higher numbers than mine and they had singletons. It's hard to judge on beta numbers. Are you scheduled for an ultrasound?

Congrats!! Those numbers sound great! It is hard to tell based on the beta numbers if it is multiples. Hopefully you'll have an u/s soon to find out!
