    Freaking out
    kittykatjenn posted:
So, I went Wednesday morning and had blood drawn for my dr to check hcg levels. His nurse called today and said he wanted me to have more drawn tomorrow to recheck. I asked her if that was bad and if it was low and all she said was it may be early in the pregnancy. I am freaking out right now. What if it isn't high enough? What if something is wrong and it isn't viable? I won't know all weekend. I don't know if I can take someting going wrong!

I know it's hard but try not to freak out! I've had a similar experience with this pregnancy and am now 18 weeks! My level was only 26 at my first draw, and anything above 25 was pregnant! So my level started really low and the nurse was cautious with me on the phone and said the same thing, that it may just be really early. Well they drew the next week and it had gone to 626 so all has been well the baby is growing great and getting bigger! Hang in there and let us know how it goes! Also, they usually want to re-draw 48 hrs after the first draw, to make sure the level has at least doubled. So the rechecking is normal. And like my experience, it's okay if it starts out low, as long as it raises.

Well, I went and had it drawn again and told them I wanted to speak to the nurse. She told me my level was at 441. She said that I may not be as far along as they thought and I might have ovulated late. I have seen such a huge range of numbers for people at different stages though that I don't know what to think! I got scared today also because the slight cramping I felt in my lower tummy went away. I wasn't starving all day like I have been either. I think that is just nerves though. I haven't had any spotting of bleeding at all so I am hoping it comes back ok. Monday is like 4 years away though!

Well you are definitely pregnant! Try not to worry, though I know it's hard. Symptoms come and go. Congrats again!

    kittykatjenn replied to mrs62610's response:
Everything I have seen online says I'm about 5 weeks, not the now 7 they originally thought. I just can't wait for Monday! I will feel a lot better if the number has doubled!
