I'm sorry it's taken so long to post this! I've tried several times to log on, and it would never let me. So I made a new account. (Leah27Brooke4)

So.. Emma Olive was born vaginally August 7th at 7:02 am. She weighed 8lbs, 19.5 inches long. She is perfect!! We are all so in LOVE!

So I went in August 1st for the induction, didn't work (cervix wasn't progressing..) so I asked to go home. Well they let me. Monday I had an appt with the OB. At the hospital on Friday morning I hadn't been dilated at all even with all the pitocin. Monday morning the Dr checked me - I was 4cm dilated and 50% effaced! Well I wasn't having contractions so she sent me home. On the long drive home, I started having contractions (probably just cause she checked me). I thought I was in labor and was rather freaked out about already being so dilated and having so far to drive. Drove home, just to get my husband and drive back - that night - to find out that it was early labor. (The nurses considered me a 3 cm dilated not 4). So we went home. Well, the next day I was having contractions again. They were strong but irregular. They stayed irregular the entire time but go so strong I could barely walk or talk through them. Drove in Tuesday night - got there I was between a 5-6cm - 20 minutes later I was a 7cm! They hurried and got an IV, and ran a bag of fluids - because I wanted an epidural but I was progressing fast. (The nurse said it was fast and furious). While they were attempting the epideral I dilated from a 7 to a 9! By the time the epideral kicked in I was a 10. (owie. lol) They let me labor down for a few hours, and I basically just had the epideral for the pushing, which was so nice. It was a beauitful birth.

Emma is such a doll. She is so adorable. She sleeps pretty good and eats well. She gets up about ever 3 hrs to eat. She's happy and doesn't fuss much. She so beautiful. Brooke is such a good big sister. She just loves her. DH is so protective and so in love. We are all so happy and feel so blessed.

I have an u/s Monday morning! I'm 32 weeks 2days today. It's still going by fast and we still have some things to finish in the baby's room! Hopefully in the next few weeks we can get that done.

Thank you!

Let me know about your U/S!! Wow you are getting so close!! How are you feeling? How is your hip/back pain? Getting excited to be so close??

I'm so in LOVE. OMG. I love love love being home all the time with my girls. I'm so happy. This may sound crazy.. but I miss being pregnant! lol! I have my beautiful little girl who I love caring for, but I feel kinda empty.. and I am already looking forward to having another one. haha. I know that sounds nuts coming from someone with a two and a half week old, but it's true. Emma is a good baby, she sleeps good and eats well and is just adorable. We all love to snuggle her and Brooke just adores her. Life is so good.

I am doing good !! I know that I havn't given an update in a longtime now. Just had so much going on, but as of now everything looks okay. Btw I dont know if i mentioned it before or not, we are having a baby girl too . We found out at our 20 week U/S. And while we were super excited to know that we were having a girl and went to see the doc after the U/S, she told us that our li'l baby girl has a 2 vessel cord instead of 3, which means 1 vein and 1 artery instead of 1 vein and 2 arteries. We were so upset that the excitement didn't last too long . So basically a 2 vessel cord can cause problems with the heart, liver, abnormilities and/or growth of the baby. So we had to get more U/S's done by specialists to make sure everything was fine and by god's grace everything looks good so far. I'm just hoping and praying that my li'l girl will be born healthy !!! As of now just trying to stay positive coz I know my li'l girl is strong and she'll fight it !!

Mrs62610 - OMG you are almost there !! Let us know how your U/S goes. Good luck !!

The u/s went great! Everything is looking good! As of last Monday LO was 4lbs 2oz.! Even though LO is growing well my midwife was not happy with my weight gain. She wants me to add another snack during the day. I told her that would be fine except that I already eat all the time! I'm trying to eat more substantial things though to help add some bulk. I never in my life thought I would have trouble putting on weight during pregnancy!! I'm feeling ok, the hip pain isn't as severe as it was but I still have trouble with my back. I will probably go back to the chiropractor next week for another adjustment, I just can't afford to go every single week, so I'm trying to wait until I can't take it anymore. I am sooo excited to be near the end!! 33 weeks 1 day today! I've been dreaming more and more about the baby and just having really strange dreams also. Monday my dad is coming over to help DH refinish the hard wood floor in LO's room. Once that is done then we can move stuff in and I can decorate!! I'm starting to get antsy and I may be starting to nest. I've had more energy lately and really wanting to get things done!

I'm so glad things are going well for you!! I'd say you are a natural born mom if you are already thinking about having another while you are up all night with a newborn!! I am so happy for you! I can't wait to have my own little one to snuggle with!

Being a mom is hands down, no contest, the best job in the world.

So glad everything is going well!! It must have been so nice to see your LO! I bet you can't wait to see him/her! That's my favorite part of having a newborn, the snuggling. Have fun decorating the nursery! I bet it will be so cute when it's done!

My friend had trouble gaining weight with her pregnancy too (ended up gaining 23 lbs) and so she added a "donut tuesday" where she'd get a coke and a donut, when she didn't usually eat stuff like that. It's not healthy though and not exactly substaintal - lol. I ended up gaining exactly 25lbs. I never got that big, but my little girl is a little healthy chunk! I was so happy! (She weighed 8 lbs even). With the twenty five pounds that I gained, it was practically and literally almost all baby. I only have a few pounds to lose to get to prepregnancy weight.

I'm so happy for you! I will continue to wonder about you and look forward to hearing your birth story in a few months!!
