How & Why To Trigger A Post | Common Pregnancy Abbreviations

Beth Ann & Baby Boy
29w0d
w/g: 13lbs
s/c: I haven't had a problem being overly emotional with this pregnancy until now. Seems like I'm suddenly always really irritable or on the verge of tears. Poor DH, I'm sure I'm driving him crazy. I'm driving myself insane being this way!! Besides that, I'm feeling okay. I do feel huge already even though I'm really not THAT big yet. But it's starting to get harder just to get around.
other: Doc appt Fri went well. Little man checked out good. I saw a different doc this time since my regular OB was out. And this doc likes to do another u/s around 32 weeks just to check on things. So he ordered another u/s for next time. Yay! I didn't think I'd get to see LO again until he's born!
Next d/a: 2/8 - u/s & OB appt
Surprise BFP 7/22/11!!! - EDD 4/2/12 - Blue Team
14w4d
w/g: I'm still down five pounds
s/c: I'm having all kinds of issues!
I spent last Tuesday in the hospital having an MRI done. I woke up at 4AM and my entire left side was paralyzed. Basically, what it boils down to is that small blood clots are likely passing through the screen filter that I have in my vena cava. It's causing Transient Ischemic Attacks, or mini strokes. Luckily, one happened while I was in my MRI, so doctors were able to see exactly what was happening. I've been put on blood thinners, and will be monitored every two weeks until 22 weeks, then weekly from there on out.
The pain in my wrists/elbows, however, is likely more related to my Cubital Tunnel/Ulnar Nerve Entrapment than it is to what was happenign with the blood clots. I see the orthopedist who was supposed to do my surgery on both hands in December to see about getting steroid shots. I have to do something, it's affecting simple things, like brushing my hair. Ugh. I had Carpel Tunnel surgery on both hands in April of 2011.
My other complaints include: Never feeling hungry, still feeling like I'm going to puke every 5 minutes, and just feeling fat. I just want a bump already, so I can stop looking like twinkies are my best friend.
My DBF is so excited he had to go buy a crib. NOw that the doc basically told us to be prepared to go anytime after 28 weeks, he needs to ensure we have everything! LOL. Silly boys.
Next D/A: Thursday with the ortho
With my Peri: 2/2 (DBF's birthday, so it better all be good news!)
I'm sure 2/2 will be all good news for you. (((hugs)))

Beth Ann, I can't believe you're 29 weeks. I don't know why it seems like you should not be so far along, but every time I see an update from you, it surprises me (at this point, it really shouldn't)! It's going fast - so exciting!

Cody & Baby
12w4d
w/g: 7lbs
s/c: None really. I am starting to get my energy back and am able to stay up past 9pm! I am definitely starting to look fat though, so am looking forward to being able to tell people at work soon.
other: Our NT scan went really well, but we were there for almost 3 hours! The baby looks great, and I had my first ever u/s on my stomach...that was pretty cool! I am just waiting on the results of the blood test, and hopefully everything is fine with the baby.
Next d/a: 2/13 - u/s & OB appt
Beth Ann I can't believe you are already 29wks! I have only had one emotional breakdown so far. It is so weird too...it's like you are not yourself. That is great you get to see the little guy again!
Mary I'm so sorry for all of your problems you've been having. That is so cool that you got a crib. I can't believe your OB is expecting you to deliver around 28 weeks! I hope you have everything ready by then@
Kelly how are you doing? Only 5 more weeks!!
Just keeping my fingers crossed. I was joking with my DBF last night that just because she said that, I'll deliver at 42 weeks after I get induced.
I'm glad you're not feeling tired anymore...I must have taken all that from you. I fell asleep at 8PM on Friday night and slept until 8AM Saturday morning!

Nicole & Baby
17 wks
w/g: -8 pounds
s/c: Started having SOB lately, which is new. Still having some trouble sleeping. Began feeling some flutters, mostly at night when I lay down and am relaxed. And I too have been very emotional, but it doesnt help that I feel lonely with my hubby away.
other: Spent this lovely 4 day weekend cleaning the house from top to bottom. Our home goes on the market in about 2 weeks and I need to keep it show ready all the time. Been packing some stuff here and there, but Jan is half way over and it doesnt seem like I have made a dent.
Also, my dog has been stressing me out like crazy lol. Its weird, but he is just annoying me like crazy. Dont know if its just cause hubby isnt here or what. But I feel myself get so irritated with him (the dog).
next d/a: Feb 7th reg OB, Feb 10th Anatomy Scan Yay!
Diagnosed MFIF June 2011 after 27 months no BC(12 months active trying)

Heather and Carson
26w6d
w/g: probably around 20lb bleh
s/c: Having a lot of hip pain to where its very hard to walk at times. And the last two days Carson has been sitting really low so even sitting is painful if I put any sort of pressure on my belly towards the bottom. And standing I can really feel the pressure from him. More congestion and junk. Have had to use Sudophed more and more bleh. More short of breath as well. Other than that just sore and regular pregnancy stuff.
other: Baby Carson finally let DH feel him move on saturday. His eyes lit up and was like "oh man" lol. I missed my cert test for work by 1 pt so I have to retake it again on the 26th boo
Next d/a: Dentist 1/20, Glucose test 1/24, OB 1/25
Mary: so sorry things have been crummy lately for you. Hopefully they can get you squared away. Eeep on the possibility of delivering at 28 weeks. Hopefully all will be good news.
Cody: so glad things are going well for you.
Nicole: Yay for getting closer to the anatomy scan

25w5d - 100 days left till due date WOW almost in double digits
w/g @ 21 lb
s/c - Main problem is stiff hips and feeling huge. I had a lady at work yesterday ask me when I was due and when I said april she's was like " I though you were due any day now" - That ticked me off a bit - ok alot - It's all in my belly and yes it's big but I'M NOT THAT BIG!!! I'm 5'4 and very small framed so it has no where to go but out and esp since it's my 2nd.
LO is nutty sometimes and has been very strong and moving alot lately - Doing complete flips and turns. DH felt him do a nice strong one last night and was like WOW.
The emotions have been getting the better of me sometimes- I get frustrated a bit more easily and I have broken down crying a handful of times for I don't even know what. It's hard but at least DH is somewhat understanding,
Next D/A - glucose test tommorrow morning 1/18 and next OB = Feb 1st
27weeks
Weight - 20lbs and counting. I've asked my doc not to tell me anymore
.My bday 1/15. Celebrated laying in bed. My 5yr old attended her friend's bday party, so she celebrated for mummy
.Glucose test normal. Cervix holding nicely at 4.1cm nice and closed.
1/23 - OB Appt, weekly cervix check and growth ultrasound with fetal specialist. Specialist mentioned an FFN test next week. Has any had this test?
Other: My husband and I have not started picking names, need to get started before LO shows up.
Btw"026 Thunderstorms and 50 deg at 3am, snow and 29 deg at 5pm... I love Illinois

Charlotte and Baby Girl
36w 2d
w/g: about 28-29 lbs
s/c: Well, I thought I was doing pretty good, but the stretch mark fairy finally caught up with my belly L Already had some on my legs, and thought I was going to get away without any belly marks"026 so close, yet so far! And I'm not sure how it happened, but I have not had near the stiffness in my hips and back that I had a few weeks ago. Feels like she's adjusting and getting ready!
Other: We got to visit our new niece, little Natalie Adele, last weekend. DH almost made me laugh, after he got comfortable holding her, he didn't want to put her down J New mommy and daddy are tired, but soooo happy, and everyone is adjusting well. Just waiting for Natalie's little cousin to make an appearance!
Next d/a: Monday (1/23), regular visit (if my OB doesn't get called away on another emergency, that is!)
Diagnosed MFIF June 2011 after 27 months no BC(12 months active trying)
BFP: 8/2011 M/C @ 6 weeks 9/2011
BFP: 10/2011 EDD 06/25/2012
Nicole I can't believe you are about to start showing your house!
Heather that is so cool DH could feel Carson moving! Sorry you have to retake your test. boo!
Melissa so sorry about the negative comments...people can be so insensitive!
Caron how long are you on bed rest? I hope you get a name picked out soon.
Charlotte that is so cool about your niece! You are getting so close now!
I finally told my co-workers today, so it has been fun, but I haven't gotten much work done.

Cody - how exciting that you told your co-workers! I imagine that was a big step for you - I'm just so happy for you!

Nicole - I can never recall what SOB is, except for the "classic" acronym, and I know that isn't what you mean.
I can't imagine getting a house show-ready and keeping it that way while pregnant. Ugh! I hope it sells fast for you!Heather, I hear you on the hip pain. I haven't had it much with this pregnancy, but with my last one, I could barely move sometimes! I hope it lets up for you some! It has come and gone a little bit for me this time, so there is hope!
Melissa - just shaking my head at people's comments. Really? Why does anyone think that is necessary or appropriate? Ugh!
Caron - sounds like a great update! I hope that things continue well, and you're able to get off of bed rest!
Charlotte - I just ignore the stretch marks, anymore. LOL...I guess I've gotten used to them! Oh well! And we had that weather, too. It was crazy! 7 tornadoes in our area from it!

Okay, here's my update:
Kelly & Samuel
34w6d
w/g: Too much. LOL! 26 lbs or so...yikes. More than I gained the WHOLE TIME with any of my others!
symptoms: Congestion tops my list of annoying symptoms, now. My nose is constantly stopped up, but I'm not sick. It's making me CRAZY. I hate it...it is my least favorite non-painful feeling. Although there are some pains I'd prefer to being stopped up! Along with that, I have headaches...sinus headaches. Ugh. Also heartburn, BHC, achiness (not really cramps) in my lower abdominal area, pain in a few sensitive spots from Samuel's movements, tired all the time, emotional, easily overwhelmed, anxious...fun fun fun! LOL!
other: My liver enzymes (specifically the ALT) have gone back up a little. Sigh. Not sure whether that means there's something going on...or if it's just that I ate too much candy/junk food over the holidays. That wouldn't happen to a normal person, but maybe to me? My Gastroenterologist isn't worried about it and just wants me to keep my next d/a, which is scheduled for April, but I'm concerned enough that I'm going to ask my midwife to check on it at least one more time between now and my EDD.
We have done NOTHING to get ready for this little guy. No, wait, we've bought an outfit. Yeah. That's IT. Oh, and DS picked out a toy sometime last week. ("I want to get this for Samuel!")
I need to get DH to bring down some of DS's baby stuff so we can see what will (or may) work. And we need to get our bedroom cleaned up so we have a place for him to sleep. And, yes, getting our bedroom cleaned up is a pretty big task, LOL, sigh. There are still baby clothes of Bekah's in there. Ugh!Oh, crud, we need to transition Bekah to some other bedtime music, too! She's still using the music from the swing, but we'll be using the swing for Samuel, so she needs some other music. Hmmm.
Next d/a: Tomorrow (1/20) @ 8:20 a.m. for just another third tri prenatal.
