    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Well I went in for my regular OB appointment. Checked the heartbeat and it was 153 bpm. That is up from the mids 140's we have seen all pregnancy. If I want to believe the old wives tales, then I have to give the WIN to my hubby because he insists its a baby girl in there. I have my gender scan on Friday, so I suppose I have to wait 3 days to find out for sure! All my bloodwork came back normal & Dr. says everything seems perfect!! I couldn't be happier.

Glad blood work and all that is good. Yay for getting to find out on friday. Old wives tale lied for me because my lil mans heart rate has always been 150 or higher. (as high as 172) and we are definately having a boy (he let himself known within a few minutes of doing the scan) lol. Good luck and keep us posted!

Ohhh makes me hopeful. Lol. Not even sure if I want a boy or girl. But I like the feeling of knowing I still have a 50/50 chance

lol I know. DH and FIL both wanted a girl but well we aren't the ones that get to choose lol. I told my OB at 10 weeks (my 1st appt) that I thought it was a boy and I was right. Would have love LO no matter what though. I am excited for you to get to know. I could never make it the full 40 weeks (lil less or more) without knowing unless baby just wouldn't tell us. Too much of a planner to not know. It seems like just yesterday you were announcing your BFP

So exciting, Nicole! I can't wait to hear!

And, definitely still 50/50 - my understanding is that the heart rate is only an indicator during third trimester. Both genders have similar heart rates early-on.
