    Monday Update-Feb. 20th

Hi ladies..I hope you all had a fabulous weekend

    Vicky & BB
I am now much calmer than on Friday..doing that third digital really helped..I figure that since my 3 test increased (at a week's time) in only 8 days then it must be good..
w/g: None, I am actually down a few pounds..I know that is not always the best but to be honest, I am overweight and simply completely changed my diet when I got my BFP..I threw out the junk food and soda and have been eating a lot of veggies and drinking a lot of water..I think I will keep losing but the nurse at the OBs office says if it's because I am eating healthy then there is nothing bad there.
s/c: My only complaint is myself lol...I tend to stress too much and I have to learn not to do stress level was really elevated on Fri. and Sat. but thankfully I am better now..
I tried to get into the OB today but the clinic is over crowded so that will not be possible but after speaking with the nurse for awhile, we both agreed that I am doing pretty good..if I had been m/c I probably would have some spotting by now, as she indicated, with my HCG being 500 on Fri. those levels, if they had been declining would probably be low enough by now to cause some spotting..I have had none, not even after BD this weekend..she also said that it is pretty amazing that we saw a sac at that much HCG so she thinks things are fine..that makes me happy

Unless I start to spot or do not feel well, I will enjoy this good feeling until my 1st appt on April 2nd.

Glad things are going better now Vicky. And nurse is right, if they were declining you would prob have some spotting by now but with your recent test adding a week on the digi that means that your hcg has increased so thats a good thing

    Heather and Baby Carson

    w/g:ugh.... I think betwen 26-28lb

s/c: Some SOB, and the normal pregnancy issues. Oh and this past wednesday I have been leaking colostrum (very small amounts but still catches you off gaurd a bit). Dizziness not as bad as it was last week and the week before but we shall see.

Other: Went to my cousins childrens b-day party (DH helped play hide and seek with the kids lol), then went to my sisters baby shower and work party on saturday wasn't bad. 1st Baby shower for me will be in just under 2 weeks.

next d/a: Birthing Class today and OB Wednesday 2/22

Vicky, glad you're feeling more at ease now. That's great they were able to see a sac so early. That sounds very encouraging!

Heather, yay for the upcoming baby shower! I have my first one this coming weekend and I can't wait!

    Beth Ann & Baby Boy

    w/g: 21lbs.

s/c: Within the past week, I have gotten quite a bit more uncomfortable. Having a lot of pressure down low, shortness of breath and tons of hip pain that makes it hard to walk. From the u/s we had last week, it looks like he's going to be a long baby. His head was down very low (which explains all the pressure I'm feeling), but his bottom was way up high in my ribs!

other: (TRIGGS) If I hadn't had my m/c last summer, I'd have a baby due this week. I'm absolutely thrilled and thankful to be expecting our little man and I'm looking SO FORWARD to meeting him. But I'll always wonder what my little angels might have been like....

On a much happier note, little man got a great report at the doc appt last week. We were just supposed to have an u/s to check his growth, but the tech doing it likes to do a full anatomy scan. So we got to see everything again. And all looks good. He still has the spot on his heart, but there's no sign of any defect so nothing to cause concern there. And he's already estimated to weight roughly 3lb 11oz.

    42 more days until EDD

    Next d/a: 2/22 - appt w/ the anesthesiologist, 2/27 - OB appt
    Me(30) DH(32) Two angel babies, 5/11/09 (10wks), 6/28/11 (5wks).

Beth Ann: Yay for baby shower and good report on baby boy. I just hit my one year anniversary of when I had my m/c so I understand the wondering what might have been but like you said thankful for this miracle. It definately sounds like he going to be a long baby and good weight so far. I have been asked about 3-4 times in the past two days if I was carrying multiples because of how round i am in the front or asking if I was about to pop and then I tell them how long I have left and they say "OH your big". Do they think he is going to be a big baby and are you sure there isn't more than one in there? bleh to them lol. Randomly off topic there for a min. Are you having a c-section is that why you are meeting with the anesthesiologist or is it just protocol for where you are?
    Heather(24),DH Lee(25). PCOS w Hemmoragic cysts. BFP:1/23/11 M/C 2/10/11. BFP 08/13/11 EDD 04/17/12-Team Blue!. Hope this LO will stick
    bethann88 replied to hgreenwood7058's response:
Heather, I've kind of been getting the opposite reaction. Everyone seems to think I look too small. Just yesterday a lady at church act shocked when I told her how far along as I was. Then went on to ask me if my doc was concerned that the baby wasn't growing enough. Nope, he's measuring right on target. I know they mean well, but it's annoying because it makes me feel like they think I'm not taking care of myself.

It's standard at the hospital I'll be delivering at to meet with the anesthesiologist. That way you can go over the options for pain relief and fill out any paperwork beforehand instead of trying to do it while in labor.

    hgreenwood7058 replied to bethann88's response:
that makes sense. our hospital doesn't have it as a standard thats why I was curious. We just fill out the preadmit papers (not even sure when the dr is going to have me do that). And thats it. I do plan to have a birthing plan (nothing to extarvigant but so they know where I stand on pain meds and people being in the room and that type of thing). As far as size I think I have only had one or two people tell me I am small (part of it is I am so short I think) but for the most part I get the "your huge" or "your big", "you haven't had that baby yet?" and are you sure there isn't more than one in there. And the size of baby. I just carry all out front. I have gained pretty much no where else but my belly (maybe a lil in my chest). So I think thats why everyone thinks I am so huge. And gotta figure as of my appt two weeks ago I had gained 24lb so thats a lot of weight to be packed onto the belly (and I am only 4'11"). Are you carrying around verses all out front? That could be the reason why people think your not as far along. Sometimes I think people should think before they say. Some just don't have a sensor I think

    Kirsty & Baby BOY!!!

    21wks 5days

w/g: 6-8lbs i reckon (will know on friday)

s/c: some SOB and some ankle swelling at the weekend, feeling pretty damn good though.

Other: baby is moving a LOT now, flipping around and kicking. DH felt the baby last week for the first time - that made me tear up a little. Found out on Saturday it's a boy - now my thoughts are running towards the nursery!!!

    next d/a: U/s wed 22nd, doc appt friday24th

    Nicole & Baby Boy

w/g: -5lbs total, making up for the -9 I was at before

s/c: lower back pain when I sit all day at work. Having SOB more frequently now. And still cant get a good nights sleep. I wake up multiple times throughout the night for no reason at all. And weird hunger (like stomach growling), and then feeling full after just a few bites, then really hungry again a short time later.

other: Ultrasound tech made the joke to me that unless baby has a huge growth spurt, he wont be the tallest kid in class. I informed him that was ok since I already have the tallest kid in class. My daughter is about to be 8 and is close to 5 feet tall already. So I guess our family will be the tallest & shortest at the same time
Also playing the name game now. I made a list of name, hubby hates a few but wont tell me which ones. He told me to pick what I wanted and if he didnt like it, he would veto it. Hope to have a name in a few weeks.

Another great update on my part..I did my last digital this morning and I now know that my levels are going up nicely because the results today were almost instantaneous!! On Saturday they took about 30 seconds to come in but today I put the stick down and when I looked again the results were there 3 plus weeks!!!
On another note has any of you ladies ever heard of a gender predictor home test? I just found this online and am curious too see if it might actually is the link
If anyone has tried this let me know how it worked out for you because I have to admit I am tempted to buy one just to see if it would be accurate!!
    bethann88 replied to vybe77's response:
Kirsty - Congrats on joining the blue team! Yay for little boys! It's so hard to believe you're over halfway through your pregnancy already!

Nicole - Good luck on picking out a name. That can be such a hard decision.

Vicky - I've never tried the gender prediction test but I've heard they're not very accurate. I personally wouldn't spend the money on them but that's just my opinion.

Heather - I'm all belly too. I've gained nowhere else except out front. It looks like I have a basketball shoved under my shirt. I started out rather skinny (I'm 5'4" and was 110 pre-pregnancy). So it's very noticeable to me how big my belly's gotten, but maybe to others it isn't that obvious.

    19w4d (yesterday)

    w/g: Still down 3 pounds

s/c: heartburn. gall bladder attacks. SOB. Inability to sleep. You know...ALL of it.

As much as I LOVE being pregnant, I know, without a doubt, this is my last baby. I love that there's a baby inside me, but I hate every single moment of being preggo. I'm miserable.

Our u/s went ok. We were unable to get all the photos needed, so we have ot go back to repeat it in a few weeks. Wish us luck, there were some brain ventricle abnormalities. I have a nephew with hydrocephalus, so I know what a struggle it can be. I will love my child no matter what, but raising one with special needs is hard. I can't imagine two.

Next d/a: March 7th for an appt with our peri and a surgical consult.
Mary (30), DBF, Josh (28). PAL DS, Jack (2/2/2007), 4 angel babies. Expecting our miracle: 7/12/12 - Yellow Team!

    7w3d (as of Tuesday)

    w/g: Down 4 lbs

s/c: Occasional nausea, occasional breast tenderness

Other: All of my symptoms disappeared suddenly on Friday and I didn't have any until last night. I was totally freaked out!!! I'm still pretty freaked out, honestly, but trying not to be, because I'm not supposed to stress out (see below). It sure would help with the not stressing if they'd just do a da*n u/s!

Next d/a: Thursday. My blood pressure was pretty high at my appt last week, and I had to do a 24-hr urine collection over the weekend, then bring it in yesterday morning and get my BP checked again. It was still borderline, so my doctor decided she wanted to see me sooner rather than later. She bumped by "initial OB" appt from 3/12 to 2/23. I'm not sure what she'll be able to do at this point (an ultrasound? please?) but I have a feeling I'll be put on BP medication. Ugh.

w/g - When I went for my last u/s last Monday I had only gained one pound. I am betting the increase in veggies and decrease in diet dr pepper have helped!

My morning sickness can still be pretty bad sometimes even with the Zofran. I have to find that perfect balance between hungry and too full and try to stay there all day. I am also having soreness in my belly as my little poochie belly continues to explode

In other news we decided to tell the rest of our fam, my work, and DD. She was so excited . She looked right at DH after he told her the baby was in my belly and said "but daddy what part will the baby come out of?". That was the best moment ever. I tried to convince him to just tell her and use the proper words but he couldn't do it and turned on the TV to distract her. So I will be buying her a book on the subject.
