was our anatomy scan! Everything looks great, they did tons of measurements, we got to see the baby from head to toe! With the triple screen and the u/s, our odds for birth defects are very low, and we are so relieved. The best news is that we found out we are having a GIRL!!! We are so excited to be on Team Pink!!

A funny story, I actually love the colors green & brown myself. So when my DD was born, I had a lot of green & brown clothes and blankies etc. And her car seat/stroller was given to us by a friend and the pattern was blue/white/brown plaid and people would always ask me if she was a boy. So I decided that if this one was a girl, I was going all out pink frufu for everything.

My dad and stepmom have already bought some onesies that say "I'm cute, I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan" and of course they are either blue or gray. My stepmom's friend said if it was a girl she would make some bows for her to wear with the outfit so nobody would think she was a boy.
I am actually excited to get to buy cute girly stuff! I saw some frilly little dresses at JC Penney a few weeks ago and was really hoping we would have a girl. But obviously would have been thrilled either way.

This time around I didnt care either way, I guess you get that way after 2 years of trying. But I kinda hoped for a boy so I could do all the boy stuff like the little suits & ties I see at the store.

I think your hubby will get over it in a day or two and once you guys start thinking about names he may get more excited. And now days just because your having a girl doesn't mean she will change her name when she gets married. She could become a dr and decide she wants to keep her name (we have quite a few married doctors here at the medical center I work for and even though they are married they have diff last names). Hugs

Report This| Share this:Today...lol cody. Its okay to rant. DH was actually kind of dissapointed at our anatomy scan as well (he wanted a girl). He even made the comment when we were in bed that night that he kinda wished it woulda been a girl instead even though it was a boy. He got over it just had to get used to it. Dh's dad also wanted a girl. I was happy either way but woulda liked a girl 1st. But now everyone is happy and excited. I think your hubby will get over it in a day or two and once you guys start thinking about names he may get more excited. And now days just because your having a girl doesn't mean she will change her name when she gets married. Not to go into crazy detail, but the job he has in the army has him around a lot of radiation and satellites, which effect male sperm. Almost all the guys he works with have all girls. You rarely get male children in his job field. So we really lucked out. lol
Give him a few days, he will come around.
