1 miscarriage, a healthy pregnancy, followed by another miscarriage should I be concerned?
    Anon_181437 posted:
I had one early miscarriage at 4 weeks then got pregnant 2 weeks later and had a healthy son with an uncomplicated pregnancy. I'm currently experiencing another miscarriage at just over 5 weeks so both really early. Should I be concerned something is wrong or is this something that just happens? I'm not sure at what point I should be asking for tests especially since I had a normal pregnancy a year ago. Anyone have a similar experience or advice?

Hello there! First of all, big ((HUGS)) to you for having to go through this, not once but twice...

Second (POSS. TRIGGS?), I know when I had my m/c, I did so SO much research on miscarriages; I think it was a way of coping and trying to get control again. Anyway... I read so many articles that spoke about how early pregnancy losses are very common. That being said, they are not any easier to accept or work through. It is still a loss of a loved one.

I would talk to your doctor first; KUP and good luck

So sorry to hear about your losses. I have been through 3 myself. Just like Charlotte I did a lot of reasearch after my losses and also found how common they are--though like she said that does not make it any easier to deal with and I was truly one of the last things I wanted to hear. But they are common so chances are you have nothing to worry about. I found that usually the rule of thumb is after 3 in a row they call that "recurrent miscarriage" and then might think about testing and sending you to a specialist. That is what we did after my 3rd loss. But since you had a healthy pregnancy in between there is probably even less concern that there would be a problem. Check with your doctor and see what they say. Good luck! Best wishes.
