Update: 19w3d

I have been feeling pretty good other than having some heartburn here and there.I don't want to make a big deal out of it though,it's fixable.

true ani. I heard pickle juice helps. I also read apple cider vinegar 2tbs can help with nausea because it neutralizes the acid in the belly. Who knew.

small update: I got a call from my OB today and she said everything for the most part looked great on my anatomy scan. We will need to repeat a growth scan 6 weeks from the day of my anatomy scan (so that puts it around the week before Christmas). They want to repeat it because little misses belly measured almost 2 weeks ahead of the rest of her. OB isn't too concerned since everything else looked great. Its more so to be on the safe side. And we will get to take another look to make sure she is still a girl at that time too. So we get to see her one more time than we thought we would. I am not overly concerned either since everything else looked fine. Tech was very nice and showed us each of the body parts she was measuring like the heart and the diff parts of the brain and spinal cord and kidneys and things. But I like the fact that they will double check to be on the safe side instead of just hoping for the best. I also will be doing my diabetes check around that same time as well. Fun times for that week haha.

You get to see the baby again in 6 weeks, yay. I am pretty sure everything is fine with your little one but like you mentioned,it's nice that they will do the u/s again just to make sure.
I will probably have my next appt. the week before Christmas or that same week. We'll get to hear and see our little ones right before Christmas.

Heather - I'm glad to hear your OB plans to take another peek at baby girl. Sounds like she isn't too concerned, but I'm always thankful when doctors err on the side of caution.

Ani - looking forward to Friday! Hope the LO cooperates for you. And I hope your heartburn doesn't stick around!

My update: 36w today. Had an u/s last Thursday. Fluid is holding steady at over 27cm, baby looks good (and squished!) and was estimated to weigh 5lb13oz. Not sure if the OB will order another u/s or not yet. I have an appointment on Thursday but it is with a different OB in the practice because mine is on vacation. It always makes me nervous to see a different OB. It's not that I don't trust this dr (he's actually the one that delivered my DS), but I am really comfortable with my regular OB and we have a really great relationship. It doesn't help that I will probably get my first cervical check at this appointment and that always makes me anxious for some reason.

Also, had my baby shower on Saturday. It was awesome. My mom and aunt crocheted a couple blankets for baby. If we could post pics on here, I would. They made one with owls on it that is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

Have a great week!
Jenny(32), DH(35) DD(7), DS(5), m/c(5/2012.

Woohoo Jenny. You are soo close to meeting that baby of yours. Glad the fluid is staying the same. Maybe you can ask them to hold off on cervical check if there haven't been any contractions (other than BHC). Then when you go back in next week for your next appointment your ob could be back from vaca and you could do it then. You could use the excuse you don't want to irritate anything down there. Some ob's won't check unless you have had contractions. Some do it anyway. I was 1cm from 35-37weeks.Then I went from 1 to 3 overnight. Fun times. Sounds like your little one is growing good even with being smooshed. Also yay for a great baby shower. I love it when family does things like that. They are good keepsakes.

I am also glad my OB would rather err on the side of caution. I was nervous with using this OB because she was brand new to our facility (I was literally her first new ob patient on her first day here-she worked other places but just not here) so i was a little nervous. I am used to all the other ones. But she has been very nice and helpful and its going good so far thankfully.

Jenny, you are almost there.Glad things are going very well so far. Understandable about being nervous for the cervix check,I mean who doesn't? I get a knot in my stomach everytime I think about it.
Glad you had a great time at your baby shower.I didn't have one with DD,must be so much fun.
