    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

So even though I'll only be 16w3d tomorrow, I feel like the doc will be able to tell baby's gender when I have an ultrasound tomorrow... right? Hopefully? LOL

So I wanted to get some guesses from you ladies about baby's sex.
-I had pretty mild m/s during weeks 7-10, off and on the afternoons, but never threw up
-No real skin or hair changes to note, first tri acne cleared up nicely
-Carrying low, from what I can tell
-No cravings to speak of, just an aversion to pizza and overly salty foods
-Baby's HR has been between 151-163

I have the big anatomy u/s scheduled on 11/29 when I'm exactly 20 weeks, so hopefully we can confirm at that point if we need to :)

    Take the Poll

So, what do you think? Will the doc be able to tell? What do you think it will be?
    • Yes, they can tell, and you're having a girl!
    • Yes, they can tell, and you're having a boy!
    • No, you'll have to wait a bit more, but I think it's a girl!

I think 16 weeks is a lot safer than like 12-13 weeks. I know everyone says if it's a boy you can tell sooner, but at 12-13 weeks, boys and girls have a pee pee looking thing, it's just what it develops into after that. But around 16 weeks, as long as they get a good shot, not just a shot that they can guess, you can probably tell. With my DD we had an u/s at 15w6d and I was nervous about if they could tell for sure...we saw 3 lines! Not just the absense of boy parts, we saw girl parts! So, from my experience 16 weeks we could tell!

However, my votes was yes you can tell, and you're having a boy! My thing was for both of my boys I had better skin and nails. For my daugther my skin went crazy and my nails SUCKED! So, that's why I said boy! :)

Thanks for all the votes, ladies!! The doc's office accidentally scheduled me for a morning appt instead of an afternoon one, so I'll be going in earlier than I thought...

Anyway, I should have some news this afternoon for everyone :) Hopefully my blood pressure isn't off the charts; I'm so excited and nervous right now, it's ridiculous.
